Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive. If your question isn't answered here, please feel free to contact us to speak to a member of our team.
Should I do anything special before you arrive?
It is important that you make sure that the surfaces to be resurfaced are as clean as possible. Please clean floors, walls, vents, etc. that may have dust on them. This will reduce the chances of dust or other contaminants falling into the coating. Surface Solutions will be cleaning the surface as part of our process. However, we find that the finished product is improved when the surface is reasonably clean when we arrive. Any fixtures (drains, faucets, etc.) that are going to be replaced should be removed or replaced before we arrive. Please take a moment to read our preparation guide for more information.
If my tub has been refinished before, can it be refinished again?
Yes. However, we may have to strip off the old finish.
Bathtub Reglazing Services In Belleville
Whether you want your bathtub to match your new color scheme, or you just want to look at a brand new tub - we can help! Many realtors and home appraisers will agree that a white bathtub and tile scheme will add value to not only your bathroom, but your home in general! If your bathtub is approximately 60 in. x 30 in., with one or more sides against a wall, it is considered to be "standard". This is the most common type of tub, but no matter your size or type, we guarantee we can help!
Steps Taken to Refinish a Bathtub
The bathtub is scrubbed clean with a powerful detergent that will remove any soap film build-up or residual film left behind by household cleaners.
The tub is rinsed and dried completely to remove all moisture.
Paper masking is installed around the tub to prevent overspray from getting on the tiles. Other areas of the bathroom will be masked off with plastic if necessary.
Bonding agent is applied to the surface of the tub.
High Gloss Acrylic Urethane topcoat is applied
During our resurfacing process, a ventilator is used which helps remove overspray and fumes from the bathroom area. It pulls the air from the room and with it the overspray and dust particles. This piece of equipment is placed in the window of the bathroom, or if there is no window in the bathroom, a hose is attached and directed to the nearest window or door. All materials are applied using an HVLP spray system.
Bathtub Reglazing Options and Pricing

Exceptional Excellent Job! I was redoing my half bath and wanted an option for my plain beige Formica counter. I contacted Surface Solutions and Scott came out with samples, pricing and explained the process. I chose a flecked paint and they were able to meet my timetable and come out to do the work within the week. Their prices were also very reasonable. Scott came out and redid my counter top - it looks fantastic! The whole process only took about an hour. He came in and was professional and courteous. It gave a whole new look to my bathroom and was a very affordable option. I'm planning to have Surface Solutions do my master bath next!!C. Galesewiczon
I was very satisfied with the Safeway Step that Scott and Doug installed on my cast iron tub, I know it creates a lot of dust and they cleaned up very well, Good Job!Don Wiseman, Rockwood, MI.
